As the excitement builds for Round 2 of the STARS Championship at New Castle Motorsports Park, the dynamic duo of Max and Miles Hewitt are ready to take on the challenges of the track in their respective categories. Max will be competing in the PRO STARS KZ shifter category, while Miles will be showcasing his skills in the OK-N STARS field.
Max Hewitt, piloting the #220 KZ Maranello SRP Factory Team Kart in the PRO STARS KZ category, is looking forward to tackling the unique layout at New Castle. Recognizing the technical nature of the track, Max acknowledges that it will demand unwavering focus to achieve a competitive lap time. With the competition fierce, Max’s goal is to harness his skills and push for a strong performance. In the final practice, Max impressively secured a spot in the top 5 in KZ, with less than a tenth of a second separating him from third place.
Miles Hewitt, competing in the OK-N STARS category with the #17 Maranello SRP Factory Team Kart, faces the challenge of debuting at the “King of the Castle” event on this particular track configuration. With limited experience and time to understand the nuances of the OK-N category, Miles recognizes the demanding nature of the track. Each lap requires intense focus, as the smallest mistake can have significant consequences. Despite the challenges, Miles remains determined to showcase his abilities and leave his mark on the competition.
